Who runs this site

Eclipse: Third Dawn is a personal, non-commercial digital adaptation of the Eclipse: Second Dawn for the Galaxy board game, operated by Phil Anderson at esd.phand.net. It is not affiliated with the publisher of the board game.

What we collect

• Google sign-in identity. When you sign in with Google we receive your Google account's unique identifier (sub) and email address. We use these only to identify you across sessions.
• Display name. The display name you choose after first sign-in.
• Game state. Games you create or join — moves, choices, and the resulting board state — stored against your identifier so you can resume later.
• Session cookies. A signed session cookie keeps you logged in between visits.
• Operational logs. Standard AWS infrastructure logs (request paths, status codes, timestamps) retained for debugging.

What we do not collect

We do not collect payment information, browsing history outside this site, location data, advertising identifiers, or any sensitive personal data. We do not sell or share your data with third parties.

Where your data lives

All data is stored in Amazon Web Services (DynamoDB and CloudWatch Logs) in the us-west-2 region of an account controlled by the site operator. Google handles the sign-in flow on its own infrastructure under Google's privacy policy.

How long we keep it

Player and game records are retained as long as the site is running. Operational logs roll off automatically after a short retention window (currently a few days). You can request deletion of your account and associated games by emailing the contact below.

Your choices

• You can sign out at any time from the lobby.
• You can revoke this site's access to your Google account at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
• You can request deletion of your account data by contacting the address below.
